Just south of the Bali Hai bar on Shelter Island, San Diego, CA. I had just moved from the East Coast and was naturally drawn to this typical Southern California scene. In this kombi van, I noticed a couple camped out, awaiting the hues from an incumbent sunset. My envy was overshadowed by the prospect of being able to share their sentiments in a similar scene or that one day, I'd have my own California cruiser to watch sunsets by the bay.
